Virgin broadband customer service
I have had a number of dealings with Virgin broadband over the years I have had an account none have been particularly pleasant.
I have the always had difficulty getting hold of a person that can resolve my problem and when I do they have often been abrupt and unhelpful.
This is also the experience of my sister-in-law who last year moved her whole package to sky, having nothing good to say about them, back to me.
My father died last year and they still insisted on charging me over twenty pounds for terminating his broadband, the caring face of Virgin broadband.
I recently decided that I would move to BT as Infinity is now available and I can take advantage of the faster connection speed so I called Virgin for a MAC address number, after manoeuvring my way through there automated system I was then put on hold for 15 minutes. The call was then answered by a man that I could only describe as rude, I may have not been my usual soothe self only when someone stops me in conversation to say I am not listing to them it tends to have a negative effect. I wanted to terminate my account and have my Mac address emailed to me not listen to a sales pitch for more virgin services I don’t want, if they had been able to offer me an optic fiber connection then I would have been interested, though he did go as far to say I would not get a bitter speed than what he was offering which is blatantly not true.
The conversation ended with we will be charging you over twenty pounds which was verbally hurled down the phone line like a javelin.
So my advice stay well clear.
